The WITS Brian and Dorothy Zylstra Sports Complex is a centenary project at the University of the Witwatersrand, with the vision of being an inclusive, world-class, South African facility for promoting participation in physical activity, excellence in sport, and training in disciplines related to sports science and exercise medicine.

Phil Zylstra, on behalf of the Zylstra family and the Skye Foundation who made the legacy investment, says:
“We feel that the Wits Brian and Dorothy Zylstra Sports Complex will be a landmark building and a resource for Wits and for the schools and sporting organisations from South Africa and abroad that will use it. It will be a fitting testament to my parents, Brian and Dorothy, and a sign of gratitude for the role the University played in many of our lives.”
